Some people are hopeless romantics, others belly’s churn at the thought of romance. How do you feel about Valentines day?
We thought it would be a good way for you all to get to know the gang here so we asked all the staff to tell us their best, worst and ideal Valentines day. Lets get straight into it.
Sara’s history is mostly good as shes been with her bf for 7 years and he is basically a keeper, every year he has spoiled her with cards, flowers and teddies. Her best memory would have to be a night away in a hotel, however her birthday is a week or so before so they tend to spend more time on that occasion.
Georgia (assistant)
George is 16 so has no Valentines day stories as of yet, except her mum bought her a card last year and signed it anonymous. Cute right?!
Her dream V day would be being proposed to , as she already has her whole wedding planned. The dress (pictured), the colour scheme the lot!
Harriet (receptionist)
Harriet is also a bubba, her best memory though would be when her boyfriend took her to a hotel which involved a spa day, massages for both and a nice meal to finish. Sounds like the perfect Valentines day .
Carrie (makeup artist & manager)
Carrie usually spend her V day with her girls as she has for the past 3 years going for prosecco and watching the newest Christian Grey film.
Her ideal V day would be to be brought to a concert to see Michael Bolton and be serenaded by him, and for him to propose to her.
Good – a trip away to a hotel in Gloucestershire for a weekend. She explained it as being very rural, frosty, log fires and there were lots of deers. Of course this was all organised by Tracy. In the evening they booked a restaurant which turned out to be a disaster as the service was awful and so was the food. Tracy wanted me to add before I go on that she was very young when this took place, but both her and her partner decided to go to the toilet and do a runner . She would say this was her best and worst.
Tracy’s ideal V day would be her partner phoning a day before and telling her to get ready that he would be picking her up with a private jet (something along the lines of fifty shades of grey) and bring her to the theater. In reality she said it would probably be a night bus to an all you can eat buffet.
Even trying to get Dom to talk about this was quite funny, she is not interested in this day whatsoever. Her words were she could not care less about it .
Dan (director)
When talking to Dan her first comment was ‘my husbands useless, drop me out’. I’m sure you can guess where this is going. She usually gets
ferrero rochers from her hubby as they are his favourite chocolates and he usually eats them all. Apparently he refuses to show his love on V day, however Dan said what he doesn’t realise is that he never actually shows it .
Worst V day memories would be waking up to ‘hatchi’ (nothing) from her wonderful hubby. However not this year, she woke up to heart shaped crumpets. Winning.
Dan’s ideal day would be flown to Paris/Venice for a lovely meal & cheap Champagne, the expensive stuff is over rated.
So there you have it, our good & bad Valentines day stories. We would love to hear some of your V day stories below.
From all of us here @ Dannie & Carrie we wish you a lovely Valentines day and hope you all get spoilt.
D & C Team x
